Best Non-Maternity Top…For Pregnancy & My Year in Review

Outfit Details

Black Tunic: Lush | Sunglasses: Quay | Jeans: Express | OTK Boots: Charles David

Hello!

Happy NYE!

Real quick can I just gush about this black tunic?! I actually have it in several colors now because I love it so much! This is NOT a maternity top, but it has been one of my absolute favorites to wear all throughout my pregnancy. It is nice enough to dress up easily, but also basic enough for a casual look. It is extra long so it fits over a big baby belly with ease, but it is also super cute without a bump too.

Post-baby I wear this same top tucked into jeans, SO CHIC! It is light weight, and extremely comfortable, and I just can’t say enough about it! Also it is super affordable! If you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant, or simply looking for an awesome tunic THIS is what you need! I am sharing this purely out of my own love for it. I am not being sponsored in any way! It will be linked below for you!

My Year in Review…

Well, that is it folks… 2017 is done. Phew! What a year! Every year I get older and every year I think back on what all happened in the previous year and I am always amazed at how much can happen in a year! This past year was a big one for me, and I wanted to do a little year in review for my own records. But also to share with you! I love hearing about new year resolutions, but this year instead of that I am going to reflect on what I have accomplished already.

January 2017

I turned 29. The last year of my twenties, and boy did I feel the ache! Turning 29 got me thinking about my future a lot. It wouldn’t be long before being able to call myself twenty-something would be over and to me that just meant I needed to be more grown up. I felt an urge for a change!

February 2017

Work had been starting to drag on me, and it took a toll on my personal life. My husband and I sat down and chatted about what we wanted for our future, and started thoughts on possibly moving soon.

March 2017

This month we decided we WOULD move, and I needed to let me work know I would be leaving. This was a difficult thing for me to do. I had worked very long and hard at my job, and truly grew in so many ways as an adult there,  but it was time for a change. We would be moving and I wanted to give my work plenty of time to plan for my replacement.

April 2017

We found out we were pregnant! This was very happy and emotional news for us, and couldn’t have come at a better time! We would be growing our family, moving into a new home, and all the things I was craving at the beginning of the year were starting to take affect! I also started my blog this month!

May 2017

A month pregnant and fresh out of work, it was time for hubby and I to being moving. We spent some time looking for new houses, and finally settled on a beautiful new home 20 minutes north of where we currently lived. This was a surprise as we initially were looking at moving out of state!

June & July 2017

Moving month! We were very busy these months just moving into our new home and getting settled.

August 2017

Starting to really show my baby belly, I took a trip out for my little brother’s wedding this month! Getting to see the family was the best! It also built up more excitement for this little baby to come into the world!

September 2017

I traveled back to Minnesota again this month to have my baby shower. A very touching and emotional experience. Also hubby and I went to a Vikings game for predictably the last time for quite a while. It was fun to have some time together before the baby would be born just traveling and going on dates!

October 2017

We enjoyed our first Halloween in our new neighborhood and got to know a bunch of our new neighbors. There are lots of kids in the neighborhood so we got excited meeting families our little one will grow up with!

November 2017

Last month I started to get really big, and it was time crunching time to get ready for this baby girl. We finished up the nursery, installed the car seat, figured out the stroller etc….

December 2017

This month had been the longest of all…the anticipation and waiting for our lives to change forever really set in! The last year of my twenties, the last year of us being childless young adults, the last year of us being without the responsibilities that come with being parents!

Now it will be 2018, and I cannot wait to see what this year will bring!! How was your 2017? I want to hear about it!
