Fall decorating and Emmy’s excitment

Hello!

Happy almost Fall! Ok, let me just begin by saying I am sorry for being so MIA! It has been a little nuts over in our little corner of the world and getting the time to sit down and blog has been minimal. 1. We moved, 2. Travel because: brother’s wedding, 3. Growing this baby! (Bumpdate to come…) However, things are slowing down now and I am back on the horse..head down…back to work 😉

It is not fall quite yet but it is my absolute favorite time of the year and I simply could not help myself but get a jump on the season.

Social media is littered with people raving about the Bath and Body Works fall scented candles especially the Fall Leaves candle, so I ran over earlier this week and picked up a few to try. I agree Fall Leaves is brilliant and probably the best fall scented candle I have ever owned; Obsessed! (Similar linked below) I get the hype and highly recommend. Seriously… I already burned through one whole candle; I never wanted to blow the thing out! It really fills your whole house up with the scent of fall, Ah! festive!

So yeah, I have been going nuts for fall decor this year and already pretty much have the entire house done. I think what I love most about fall is the fact that the seasons are changing and that the holidays are coming. It is simply a time of change and it is always so exciting! I plan to go a little crazy with pumpkins because I am just really into them this year, and plan to do some fun stuff with the front porch. Now that we are in the new house I think that I am more excited to decorate it for the holidays, you know?

New house, new decorations, new fun memories! Anyway, we are waiting to do a pumpkin patch trip until at least the end of the month because I need them to last on the porch for Halloween! I’ll do a little post on that in the upcoming weeks if that sounds like something you would want to see? hmm?

And the other fall things…

Aside from decorating, another fall thing, hubby and I are LOVING that football season is back in full swing! Woohoo, Skol Vikings!! 😉 I have switched over to fun, fall, finger foods because it is so necessary right? Football Sunday’s are PERFECT for that! Can you say BBQ, Cheese and crackers, and Pizza anything? YUUM! I am collecting a little stack of recipes I want to try out this year, and I will definitely be sharing a few of my favorites. I really want to make homemade pizza for the Emmy’s this Sunday too; who’s watching? I am a sucker for award shows and rather excited for it to air this year; I love it all!! …the fashion…the celebrities…sitting on my couch and judging the host…teehee! There are SO many shows I am rooting for this year…The Handmaid’s Tale (SO good!), Stranger Things, Better Call Saul…It’s going to be a good one!
