There are finally some gifts wrapped and under the tree in our home. I am getting so excited for Christmas morning! I love getting up early, turning on ‘A Christmas Story’, making some hot cocoa, and curling up to watch my loved ones open their gifts! For real, I swear I am WAY more excited each year for THEM to open THEIR gifts then to open my own!!
Quick side story…When I was a teenager my Mom read the book “The 5 Love Languages”. If you have never heard of this book I recommend checking it out. Especially if you love self discovery and simply learning to understand individuality in general. In short it is a book that describes the 5 types of ways we each fill our “love tanks”.
My love language is gifts, I feel loved when someone goes out of their way to give something to me as well as I enjoy GIVING gifts to show my love for others. Gifts have just always been my thing ever since I was very little, so Christmas morning is seriously one of the most fun days of the year for me!
Anyhoo, It is getting to be that time of the month when holiday shopping needs to get done!
If not finished already! Common, who has all their holiday gift shopping done THIS early though, I mean really? I truly admire those who can do that!! I have been trying oh so hard to be completely done, and I will admit I am close! Although, it seems like no matter what, shopping this time of year is just plain harder. The gifts you know you want to get FOR SURE seem to be impossible to find, and the people you don’t know what to get end up being even more impossible to shop for as time runs out…! Ugh it can be so stressful!
Well thank goodness for Gift Guides like these…JUST KIDDING! But really though, I always find guys harder to shop for. Even my own husband is simply impossible to shop for. But I sat down, did my research, and found some awesome gifts that are sure to be a hit this year! OMG if you haven’t read the 5 Love languages yet you need to! It truly is an amazing book and gives you such perspective on others and yourself! Its a must read!! And Honestly I love Alexa too…. We also have Alexa, and I think in comparison to Google they are very similar!
