I am currently sitting in the kitchen of the cabin we are staying for the next two weeks, and I am finally just going for it and getting this first post up! It has been a long time coming and honestly, I just can’t keep waiting for everything to be perfect any longer! It is time to just let go and let blog!
This the 4th time my hubby and I have vacationed in Michigan, and being Las Vegas residents we get a lot of questions as to why we choose Michigan for vacation so frequently. The answer to that is one word MEEMO’s!
If you are looking for a cozy, yet luxurious cabin plopped down in the middle of the woods, far from big cities, loud highways, and crowds….Then you HAVE to take a trip to Meemo’s Farm in Evart, MI. Meemo’s farm offers four beautiful cabin accommodations that will exceed your expectations. Hubby and I are partial to the two-story six-sleeper cabin called The Lanes.
If the name of this cabin doesn’t give it away, let me just indulge for a moment.. The Lanes homes a private two lane bowling alley in the basement that is so cute and set up for easy use just like at the bowling alley! It is such a fun and flirty activity that hubby and I happen to really enjoy, and on vacation it can’t get any better then to have an entire bowling alley to our selves.
Aside from the bowling there is SO much to do out here in Michigan, and that is usually where the conversation goes from “Huh?” to “OHHH!” when we tell friends and family of our vacation destination. Meemo’s offers fun for everyone, and if you are like me I like a little outdoors fun AND pampering. When I travel I enjoy getting out and exploring the land and not holing up inside the entire time. I like to get out see the sights, enjoy the weather, and of course get some amazing photos; so having quads to race around on is so ideal. I mean you can be any kind of girly girl, but hop on a quad for a little spin and you are guaranteed to have a thrill!
Meemo’s Farm is well known as a luxury game preserve, so if you’re into that there is a lot of hunting and fishing available here too. They offer on-site and off-site hunting excursion during hunting seasons with provided guides and hunting dogs! You can also shoot for fun in the shooting range, which is really so much fun!
I like my shopping and spa days, but I also love to have fun in a shooting range too! They offer skeet shooting which is my favorite; there is a real thrill in blasting those clay discs into pieces! I may or may not be competitive with my hubby in skeet shooting…He is a good sport about it but he knows I’m solid competition! Hee Hee!
You can also enjoy paddling out on one of their lakes, strolling along the gorgeous nature trails, or relaxing in the large patio hot tub while gazing out at the view….Michigan can truly be a relaxing getaway you wouldn’t expect!
We head back to Las Vegas in a couple day and I am already planning or next little trip to sunny California, any tips on what to see and where to go for a beachy getaway?
