What’s In My Hospital Bag

What’s In My Hospital Bag

So I wanted to share with ya’ll what I am packing to take to the hospital for the delivery of this baby. I put a great amount of planning into what I am bringing for myself and for baby girl! So, I wanted to share this for anyone who might need inspiration themselves in the future. I know I did a ton of research on what to bring my self! Truly, how can you know what you will need? It is really amazing how stressful this whole packing process was for me! So with all of that said, see below how I broke up each group of things I thought I would need, and how I planned out what to pack for each stage of the brith process.

**Small disclaimer…This is the first baby I am having, and so therefore it is my first experience. There very possibly could and most likely will be things in this post that I did not need, as well as things I did not pack and truly will wish I did! I hope that does not happen, but most assuredly will!**

Fuzzy Slides: Mad Love | Leopard Clutch: B.P. | Black Nursing Gown: ‘Moonlight’ Night Shirt | Book: What to Expect When Your Expecting  | Eye Masque: Tarte | Face Mist: Epicuren | Collagen Facial Wipes: Global Beauty

The first group of Items I packed was what I would need right away, and while I was in labor. Obviously, I know it will take time to have this baby, so I am bringing some reading material, and an iPad to keep myself entertained and distracted from contractions. I will be trying to last as long as I can without an epidural so I have no idea if these items will be helpful or not. I may not use them at all, but I am bringing them regardless!

Also I made sure to bring an extra phone/ipad charger, and some of my favorite facial refreshers. For real, I HATE a sweaty grimy face, so these facial wipes, and mist will help to keep me feeling fresh. I also packed some eye masques. Again this may be just a nice thing to have, but right now I know I use them a lot in the mornings. I may or may not want these if any pictures are taken! There is also some lavender massage oil there for the hubby to use on my back and feet! Tee Hee!

Nursing Bras: Lace Style, Similar Basic Style | PJ Pants: Arie | Tank Tops: Arie | Loose Sweater: Arie | Fuzzy Slippers: Arie | Underwear: Pea in the Pod

Here are all the clothes I am bringing post-baby delivery. So, I actually wanted tighter bottoms because (sorry if TMI!) I like to feel wrapped up tight down there if you know what I mean! I know there will be bleeding and pads, and I would rather not have too loose of pants for that. Also I have some nursing bras, some cuter ones to wear under loose tanks and tees, warm fuzzy slippers, and a big loose fitting sweater. I selected all of these tops to be on the big side so they will be convenient for breast feeding! My favorite underwear are also above, and I cannot say enough about these for anyone who is pregnant!! Linked above and below!

Going Home Outfit: Pink T-Shirt, Pink Velour Joggers: Similar, Grey Leggings | Toiletries: Face Wash, Face Moisturizer, Deodorant (My Fav!!) | Best Lip Moisturizer: Laneige

Everything shown here is what I packed for getting ready to go home! I packed a pink going home outfit to match baby girl, and simply because I am having a baby girl. I packed some tighter grey leggings too incase I would prefer that to wear home. All the toiletries shown are what I use everyday, and am bringing to make myself feel as clean and comfortable as possible! I am even bringing a hair dryer and round brush to do my hair before I leave. Feeling good is important! Not shown above, but I am also bringing any makeup I cannot live without. I have this in a separate bag I will grab on the way out the door when the day comes.

Baby Girl’s Going Home Outfit: First Outfit: Black Owl Top, Pink Skirt | Second Outfit: Side Snap Owl Outfit | Swaddling Blanket: Aden + Anais| Receiving Blanket: Starting Out | Baby Elephant Pjs: Carter’s | Baby Girls Grooming Kit: Safety 1st| Diaper Bag: Honest Company

For baby girl I packed two going home outfits. One is smaller, and one is bigger so hopefully one of them will fit! I also packed a fuzzy bear suit to put her in to keep her warm since it is winter. I did pack a couple pair of PJs and a hat for her to wear at the hospital too. Don’t know if I will need these or not, but I would rather have them and not need them, than need them and not have them!

Also I packed a Vikings onesie for my hubby, haha. Again who knows if she will wear this or not, but I thought it was cute for pictures! I packed some extra diapers, spit up clothes, a pair of sox, and some hand mitts for her to wear so she doesn’t scratch her face! A couple other things I brought is her baby book to record specifics about her birth weight, size etc… some papers and documents I may or may not need, and a boppie pillow for nursing!

About the Diaper Bag…

The diaper bag I got is amazing and I quickly wanted to say a bit about it! I looked around everywhere for a good diaper bag, and I wanted something that wasn’t too obvious. Something that my hubby can carry around, and not feel too silly. And I wanted something that would be high quality. The Honest Company makes this diaper bag and it is leather! (I got the Honest Company diapers too.) I love how many compartments it has, and how spacious it is! I think it is super cute, and I am really proud of my pick. Highly recommend it so far, and I will definitely keep ya’ll posted on how it works out over the next several months!

So there you have it! If any of you have had a baby before and have any suggestions for me, PLEASE let me know! I have just a couple weeks until baby girl is due and if there is anything I should be including in my hospital bag I would love to her about it!
