It is December and that means it is COLD!

Even here in the desert, it get cold. Yup…it’s true! Time to bundle up! I have been a leather jacket kind of girl for many years. I guess I always liked how they looked and how they keep out any cold wind, no problem! I switched gears a little bit this year, though. The hype about Patagonia coats has been buzzing in my ear since last year. I went ahead and caved, getting one of my own…and I am so glad I did!

It is amazing how light weight their coats are, as well as how breathable for how warm they are. I always thought it would be the kind of coat you would sweat in, but I was so wrong. Not to mention they are super cute and trendy! I went with a dark grey color, and absolutely love it. You might be thinking…how the heck is this girl going to zip this coat up over that baby bump? Well to be honest I don’t actually plan to! Because I want this to be my favorite coat for a long time I want it to fit me perfectly AFTER this baby comes out. I bought it in my regular size, and can wear it for the next 3 weeks unzipped and still feel super cozy and comfortable!

On another note, I think I am completely ready for this baby! My goal was to be all set with everything by Thanksgiving so the hubby and I could just enjoy the last few weeks together before this baby girl is born. I missed my goal by a little bit, but I am feeling good about how prepared I am! I hear that nesting can kick in right before your baby is born, so I am sure when that happens I will find things to do. Any moms out there have any tips I may be missing?

    i love your boots! 🙂

i’m really considering to get myself a windbreaker jacket as well, but i’m not so sure whether i need it since i live in a tropical country and i only have to deal with raining when it’s rainy season. not so much for a windbreaker. :/

Ughhh the struggle of warmer climates in the fall/winter! I got my coat even though I live in Vegas for cooler nights and mornings! Maybe that could be your justification too! 😉
