Happy Sunday!

If you follow me on Instagram then you knew this post was coming! It has been an interesting 6 months so far this year, and I have finally gotten into a groove enough to feel confident in sharing my blogging and momming secrets! Here is a hint…: It ain’t easy! Tee Hee!

First of all being a stay at home has been such a gift, and I must say how incredibly fortunate I am to be able to spend each and everyday long with my daughter. As much as I know working mom’s get the chance to socialize and talk to adults during the day, I have to give my gratitude that I am lucky to have all this time raising my daughter. With that said, however, it is not always easy and can get testy sometimes! I mean sometimes a Mom just needs a break! It is funny what I would pay for 1 hour to take a shower and do my hair/makeup completely uninterrupted!

So you can imagine how blogging full time may be a bit of a challenge!

A lot of people may not understand the full extent of what blogging actually involves. I promise it is a full job in itself, and having the time and uninterrupted concentration is vital to being successful with it. A newborn baby is a lot of work. A 3 month old baby is more work. And as they grow, it doesn’t get easier. They need more and more attention! There are so many mom’s out there with several children who work not only at home but multiple jobs, and I commend you! You are super women!

For myself, I have learned that a schedule and routine is necessary in order to get things done. And for my sanity! It is good for baby, and good  for mommy. WIN! Here is Aria’s 5/6 month schedule:

With this routine, I am able to find windows of time that work best for me to get not only work done, but also house cleaning and other miscellaneous tasks! My daily schedule looks something like this:

momming

All of this to say, not everyday goes exactly according to schedule.

And honestly most days do not! As well as the current routine I have laid out above will change many times over the next year, and then all over again once baby #2 is born! However, having a routine, having a schedule, and being able to be flexible has all become second nature to me now. Without those things I would never get anything done at all! I look at it like, my life is no longer just me doing my own thing. It’s me doing what I need to do for my daughter and bringing her along with me on the things I need to do for me.

Work is important, but not as important as my daughter. I will always, always put her first. And you know what? If she is happy, I am happy, and I actually get more done when she is satisfied. It has taken some getting used to, but once I stepped back and looked at my day, it was easy to see the windows of time I have to use for work. Being able to adjust is one of the perks of being a Stay At Home Mom!

I hope this has been helpful to any other stay at home moms out there looking to work at home or even to have a hobby or just time to themselves! Maximize those moments you have a break and space out your tasks so your not overwhelmed. And most importantly do not pressure yourself and always remember what is most important!

P.S. The entire outfit I am wearing above is currently 40% off through today only! The blue henley (Free People) top is amazing, so flattering, and hangs loose for a cute, casual look. This top is very popular for those very reasons and selling out insanely fast. I highly recommend! Also it runs large so size down!!

Also the super cute “Be a Flamingo in a Flock of Pigeons” Laptop cover and cell phone cover I have is from Case App! They have the cutest stuff you guys and they gave me a code to share with you to get 20% off your order! Just use code: LYDIALOUISE20

You have done such a good job at pushing out regular content while being a stay at home mom. Since we moved this month I still need to get back into a groove and find my routine again.

Great inspiration! I’m struggling with a summer routine, but I think I’m just about there! I recently did a batch hour, where I wrote posts through August. They’re just outlines really, and i still need to flush them out, edit, take pics, etc, but at least they are started.
