Around the Home: Baby Dam Review

Baby Dam (1)

Baby Dam (1)

Hope you all are enjoying your Sunday!

I live for Sundays lately! So in a couple weeks my family is coming out to visit and I am so excited. My Dad is coming out, and he still has not met Aria, so that will be so exciting in itself. Aria will be baptized while they are here, and we are having a little party for her. It is the very first party I get to have for my daughter so of course I am overly anticipating it… Oops! Anyway I am spending today looking online for ideas for a Baptism cake and decorations and picture ideas…etc!

At any rate!… I am here today to talk about this incredible little piece of plastic and rubber! Seriously you guys, whoever came up with this idea is a friggen genius and… why wasn’t it me?!  I am demonstrating in the photos above how it works. This is a Baby Dam. Basically it works as a water block or bath divider so you can keep water in just part of the bathtub. Once it is in place, it holds really well and I love it so much for the following reasons…

Because I can now sit in the bathtub right next to Aria and not have to get wet myself, I am enjoying bath time a lot more too. I am able to be right next to her at an arms reach, but still be able to sit down and relax a bit while she plays and splashes away. I knee up to wash her, and I feel so much safer picking her up out of the bath as well because I can first just bring her to my side of the bath with no water, wrap her up in her towel safely, and then get up and step out.

Obviously it is the perfect solution for babies that are too big for those tiny infant tubs, and also for babies that are too small to sit in a full size bath tub.

I have been using this set up for Aria since she about two and a half months old, and will probably continue to use it until she is just too big for it. You can also move the divider up as far and back as far as you want adjusting exactly how much room you want your baby to have. I also use the Blooming Bath for her to lay on because it is soft, keeps her from slipping, and holds in warm water making the experience just more comfortable for her.

The only bummer about it is that it is made to fit a standard single home bathtub. It will not work in round, square, or spa baths! BUT a Bonus: The Baby Dam also comes in UK bathtub sizes!

This little trick has for real been a life saver, and made bath time so much more enjoyable and easy! The Baby Dam comes in a few colors, I linked both blue and pink in the widget below for you! If you have any other questions about it feel free to ask me!

Oh wow it comes with the barrier too? I love it especially being able to be in the tub with them! I always had to sit outside and bend over to bathe my daughter. This is amazing

That is really cute and I can imagine needing one for bigger babies! My babies are all grown up now, but I know some moms who might benefit from this. Will be sharing this to them.
