Happy Tuesday!

So I did not get out a post on Sunday because I took a much needed day off. I hope you all had a great weekend, and are having a beautiful start to your week!

It has been super busy around here, and if you follow me on Instagram you would have heard all about it. Our dog Percy (Morkie) was in the hospital last week because he was acting very slow and sleepy. This is VERY unusual behavior for him! Turns out he was diagnosed with Addison’s disease and now has to take medication for the rest of his life. It is so sad to me because I simply cannot wrap my head around the disease and how it can possibly happen to such a happy and full of life little pup!

For those of you who are not familiar with Addison’s disease it is a disease that some dogs are just born with and the symptoms can be brought on be a stressful event. It causes the cortisol levels in a dog to drop dramatically and cease to continue producing. This leads to a very lethargic, sad pup who won’t eat and just sleeps! It can even cause death if not treated!

Anyway, we were able to pinpoint the problem and get Percy what he needs to be healthy and he is 100% back to normal. But it was a stressful week and weekend for sure!

Aside from all that we have just been getting busy prepping for this new baby and making plans for the new nursery! I can’t wait to get that started!

OK – ANYHOOO… Way off track for today’s post but I thought I would bring you guys up to speed on what has been going on around here!

I recently picked up my most used beauty products AGAIN because I ran out, and I thought I would share my top 5 beauty product I have purchased repeatedly because they are that good! I use these products every single day (mostly) and swear by them!

Neutrogena Hydro-Boost Water Gel Moisturizer

OK, I am normally an oily skin type, but since I moved to the desert my skin has been far more on the dry side. I also tend to have redness and dry skin does not help that at all! So I love LOVE this moisturizer because it is super hydrating. This contains a hyaluronic acid (very hydrating) and my skin literally drinks it up! It also help reduce redness! It goes on thick and cooling but then evaporates into the skin so there is not oily left overs! This stuff is also great because it is super affordable ad can be found at Target!

IT Cosmetics CC+

I have been using this stuff for years and I have yet to ever get sick of it. I really like the Dior Airflash foundation too, but this CC cream is hands down the one I grab for the most. It is the perfect coverage for everyday and never feels thick or greasy. Recently IT Cosmetics came out with their Illuminate CC+ and I love that stuff too but I feel like I start to look oily towards the end of the day.

Anastasia Brow Wiz

I honestly have such a love/hate relationship with this brow pencil. Mostly because it is the ONLY one I truly like, and it is something I go through like once every two weeks. UGH. The only thing I would change about this is adding more product to the stick. Otherwise I would never really recommend any brow pencil above this one ever! It goes on perfectly, it is easy to control, and shades beautifully. No smudge! An wears all day or even two days if you do not get it wet!

Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray

I recently started using the De-Slick during a trip to Minnesota because the humid weather had me sweating so much. But regardless the Urban Decay De-slick or All-Nighter setting sprays are my favorite for all day wear. It comes out in a super fine mist with an all even coverage and feels light and refreshing.

IGK First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo

I have talked about this dry shampoo before. I use it most days, and love that it not only takes care of literally any and all grease in my hair, but it gives my hair volume and makes it look like I just washed, brushed and blow dried my hair. Only better! I honestly love my hair a day after I wash it and with this dry shampoo in it better then fresh out of the shower! It works that well. Plus it smells amazing!
