‘Around The Home’ Christmas Tree!

‘Around The Home’ Christmas Tree!

It is officially “ok” to have the Christmas tree up now, right?

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Anyone go out shopping for Black Friday? I got most of my shopping done online, and guilty of buying myself a few things too.. Oops!

Last week I spent the weekend decorating the home for the holidays! We did two faux Christmas trees this year, and I kind of love it. Because the baby is due so soon we wanted to keep the holidays as easy as possible, have I said this already? Tee Hee! I am almost done Christmas shopping too! I am really getting things done early this year, and I am loving it. Maybe I will try to be this early every year? A girl can dream!

This is the tree in our formal living room, and I love how it turned out! It is a flocked tree, and I love how it looks like it has snow on it! I spent about 6 hours decorating this tree. I definitely need more practice, but for what I was going for, I am fairly pleased. Last year I did a similar tree, and I plan to add more next year! Percy (Our Morkie Pup) was very interested in this little photo shoot, and had to be in a couple shots, haha, and I am noticing now he needs a haircut!!

I am so excited for Christmas, guys!

We also have a blue and silver tree in our everyday living room, and that is where we will open presents and hang our stockings. Our living room is kind of a blue theme already, and so I played off of that. I got a lot of the decorations and tree ornaments from all different stores, and from over the years. But this year I did find a few at At Home and at Target.

First of all, I haven’t been to Target in a long time, and went there a couple weeks back to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they carry the home goods line Hearth & Home from Magnoila there! Chip and Joanna Gains are one of my favorite HGTV stars of all time, and I am super bummed “Fixer Upper” is done… Anyhoo I LOVE their line at Target and may or may not have gotten sucked into that section of the store for close to an hour! Oops! Another store I have never been too before this year is At Home! It is sort of far from our house, but I will definitely be venturing there again. It is HUGE!

Anyways, I put my outfit and a few other details in the shopping widget below, and in case you have been thinking about a faux tree, I recommend a flocked one! They are a little messy to put up initially, but SO worth it! So Pretty, and festive!
