Happy Friday Eve!
Arthur has been working like all the time since my Mother-In-Law left, and I look forward to the weekends! It is our time to get stuff done around the house or just hang out and relax together. I have been super busy getting into a routine with Aria and working in-between her naps. I am also trying hard to get in a workout everyday to try to lose some of this baby weight! Summer will come fast enough. Living in Las Vegas the warm temps have already started so I am in full on spring time mode already.
Being so busy it hasn’t been easy to get up and do my hair everyday, and I’ll be honest a quick and easy top knot has been my go-to look. I wanted to share my messy bun style with you, it has been something I have mastered over the last few weeks after watching a bunch of tutorials on youtube. This particular top knot is my favorite because it is SO easy and still looks super cute! Hey! That’s important!
OK. So I am going to break it down for you the best that I can! I took pictures of the steps along the way, but I know it is not always that easy to get the full affect through pictures. Message me if you have questions!
Busy with Baby Messy Bun
Start with brushing through your hair, and gather it up into a clean pony tail.
Then pull your hair out of the tie a little to give lift. I like a little pouf on top of my head if that makes sense!
Use hairspray to hold it in place. I have been loving the L’Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray! I really wanted to give a quick review on this because it is amazing! L’Oreal was kind enough to send me a free bottle and I use it ever single day. Honestly it doesn’t have a pretty smell like some hairsprays out there do, it smells like hairspray. But the mist is super fine and it never leaves my hair crispy or dry. I LOVE how soft it makes my hair! It holds all day long even with Aria pulling on it. I would recommend it to anyone!
Next twist the pony tail and wrap it around the hair binder to make a little bun, like the picture shows above. Secure it in place with another hair binder. At this point you have a little top knot but it’s not so cute yet, hee hee.
Ok so then start pulling at your hair all around the bun to get a loose top knot look. If you pull out too much simply use a bobby pin to tuck it back in.
And that is it! Super easy! I will link everything below for you all, let me know if you give this a try!

Love seeing how different gals do their cute messy buns! I like the idea of putting it in a pony first, mine gets so big by the end of the day haha
