For the past three years I have crafted an advent calendar for the girls, and I am hooked. It is such a fun project that I look forward to each year because I like to make is beautiful for me, and memorable for the girls. Each day holds a special treat or experience we get to do all the way leading up to Christmas day. This year Aria specifically asked me to write down a countdown to Christmas so she could keep track! I love that she is at an age where she really can understand the countdown process!
This year I wanted our advent calendar to be somewhat of a large statement piece in our living room. I had a vision for what I wanted and was able to make it really come to life! I have learned that taking my time to really be sure I love what I am creating has made the joy of making and decorating all that more satisfying! I had to wait until I had all the materials I needed and then I was able to create this entire thing in one day!
