DIY Bottlebrush Tree Centerpiece

DIY Bottle Brush Tree Centerpiece

Some friends of mine and I had fun creating some Anthropologie inspired holiday decor this year and this is what I made! It is a bottle brush tree centerpiece and was so easy and fun to make! If you happen to have collected bottle brush trees over the years like many of us have, and are looking for something to do with them, this is the DIY for you! Most of my bottle brush trees are from target and I was really excited I had these colors. I did purchase a few more this year to round this project off.

To make this DIY, follow the directions below!

Materials:

3′ 2×4 wood piece

Assorted bottle brush trees

Chunky Yarn

Hot Glue

String twinkle lights

Directions:

First, hot glue the chunky yarn onto the 2×4 and wrap around until the whole piece is covered. Next, remove the wooden bases from each bottle brush tree. I did this by twisting them until they came off. Bend the remaining wire up into each tree. You can also use wire cutter to just cut the bases off at the stem.

Hot glue each bottle brush tree onto the top side of your yard wrapped wooden base. I placed them along the whole piece first so I knew how I wanted them each to sit. Use an assortment of sizes to create dimension. I knew I wanted my tallest trees in the center and the smallest ones on the end and as fillers.

Finally, take a string of twinkle lights and weave them throughout the bottle brush trees. I love the look of the twinkling lights throughout the centerpiece during holiday dinners and at night! So pretty and magical!
