This time of year is one of my favorites, and ever since we got this entry table last year it’s been so fun to decorate each season. Every fall I choose a theme and this year the theme is called “Spookeasy” a more cute and glam, spooky theme! @heycutedesign was kind enough to design a collection of glam ghosts for me this year and they are just perfect in our home!
Diane who owns Hey Cute Design, is an amazing artist that designs the most adorable illustrations year round. Her work has been transferred onto wrapping paper, fabric, and even clothing! The skull head planters on either side of the entry table are what kicked this vision into gear for me. My good friend Jen @jensgatheringnest shared a video reel on her IG account showing how she turned the skull head candy bowls from target into planters! SO CUTE. I knew I wanted to do it the moment I saw, and ran to target to get my own bowls to DIY. You can pop the inside bowl out and simply place your fall plant inside and its the easiest and cutest statement piece for the season. I left the bowls in and put rocks in the bottom and planted my small plants inside and it worked just as well.
The black bats or black butterflies are getting a little over played out IMO, so I decided to use my Cricut (currently $100 off right now!) to cut out black glitter stars and stuck them on the wall over the entry table instead. I LOVE the look and that it still has pop but that it is different from what everyone else is doing! Then I ran to Trader Joe’s to stock up on my pumpkins and filled the lower shelves. They also have their cinnamon scented brooms out so naturally I grabbed one of those too. I framed my Hey Cute Design glam ghost print, added a few touches and wahlah! Do you decorate your entry way? I love that its a fun and festive view for guests the moment they walk through the from door.
