Happy Sunday! Today is a really fun and exciting blog post because not only am I sharing my latest skin care obsession, but

First, I can not wait another moment to talk about my favorite Black Friday purchase, a rose quartz roller! I have been hearing so much hype about skin rollers, and to be honest I was not immediately drawn to them one bit. They kind of seem like a totally pointless purchase and just another thing that will clutter my drawer and quickly get forgotten. However, over time I became more and more curious..
After having the opportunity to learn about skin care in a previous job, I understand the importance of taking care of your skin, but also understand the importance of feeling good in your skin too! I saw the Herbivore Rose Quartz Skin Roller when I was Black Friday shopping, and even though it wasn’t even on sale I decided to take a closer look.
Rose Quartz Skin Roller
So the rose quartz roller is made to support lymphatic drainage. If you do not know what that means, simply put, it is a manual type of massage that encourages drainage of lymph, carrying waste product away from the skin tissues. It also works to then reduce inflammation (redness), and puffiness eliminating fine lines and aging. Ummm ok, yeah that sounds like something I need!
I already tend to have redness issues with my skin and especially with pregnancy, puffiness has been a bigger issue as well. Also I had heard of people putting their skin roller into the freezer at night and then using it in the morning after washing and moisturizing to help the product penetrate deeper into the skin, and the coolness to help wake up the skin. (I am telling you, I keep my roller in the freezer and LOVE using it that way!) Long story short, I decided to take the dive and purchased the roller on Thanksgiving evening. As soon as it arrived I starting using it and haven’t looked back once!
If you have been following me for a little while now, you now I am a big fan of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost line and have been using it for several months now. Truthfully there are other great skin care brands out there, but I got hooked on this line this past summer, and haven’t felt the desire switch it out. My skin is responding well to it, and because it contains hyaluronic acid it is very moisturizing; perfect for this cooler dryer time of year. I have been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost serum and moisturizer day and night and following it with my skin roller (fresh out of the freezer) and loving the results!
Additional Benefits
Another really fun feature about the skin roller is that rose quartz metaphysically corresponds to the heart chakra, the energy center of love. Facial rolling itself has been an ancient China beauty ritual since the 7th century and is very relaxing and de-stressing. The rose quartz roller specifically is supposed to help with inner love, a thing that is needed for peace and ultimately helps with good skin care! I know that can sounds a little fluffy and silly to some, but I thought that was interesting and hey, anything that is relaxing and de-stressing for myself and my skin sounds good to me!
Some of the other types of skin rollers available are the amethyst and jade rollers. Both having their own unique features, and making it tempting to believe you need all three! I am telling you all, I am dedicating a whole blog post to skin rollers because I am that taken with them, and wouldn’t be shouting it to the mountains if I didn’t really love the experience I have had so far!
