Salt Dough Turkey Hands

For Halloween I helped the girls make shrinky dink “ghost” handprint keychains to send off to their grandmas and papa! They loved it so much and it turned out so cute that I decided to do another fun handprint craft with them for Thanksgiving! These salt dough turkey hands are just adorable and were so easy to make! Your kids will have fun making them and be so proud to gift them to Grandma or anyone for the Thanksgiving Holiday!

Recipe Is Simple!

Ingredients:

4 Cups of Flour

1 Cup of Salt

1-2 Cups of warm water

Instructions:

Mix flour and salt together. As you stir slowly pour in the warm water little by little until the mixture begins to gather. Sometime I use 1.5 cups sometime I need the full 2 cups of water. Once it is all mixed, pour contents onto a floured surface and knead for a good ten minutes. It should become a smooth texture. Roll it all out to a 1/4 inch in thickness and trace handprints out by using a butter knife. Carefully transfer from surface to a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Once cooled you can paint and decorate!

**Reminder to always make a hole in the handprint before baking so you can add string or yarn if you wish! I also used a toothpick to gentle push in the initials for each of my girls so we knew who’s handprints were who’s!**
