What’s In My Hospital Bag || Take 2

What's In My Hospital Bag || Take 2

Happy Sunday!
I know I am getting this out a little late, but I wanted to get this post up for those of you who have been waiting! Right around this time last year I posted my first ‘What’s In My Hospital Bag‘ post and this hospital bag is definitely different. I am excited to share the difference in what I am packing the second time around! In fact I find it a little funny how different it is, teehee! I know every birth is different, but I absolutely know what I DO NOT need to bring!

Aside from my toiletries bag, makeup, and my hubby’s stuff; the above photo shows what I am packing for myself and my new little bundle of joy! I decided to go with a rolling carry-on suit case this time because it is just so much easier and I know that really makes a big difference when your already lugging a new baby, car seat, and my recovering self through the hospital. The easier it is to get your luggage through the halls and elevators the better!

Planning for at least two days stay, I have packed three outfits for myself plus one pair of comfy lounging PJs and one coming home outfit. I also packed one good nursing top, my delivery robe (will come back to this later), slippers, comfy shoes to go home in, and my What to Expect book. I also packed my Bellafit Corset to wear post birth. This helps all those muscles/organs/everything kind of get held nice and snug and get back into place. I know that sounds kind of terrible, but I know from experience last time I really loved the feeling of having a secure corset around my abdomen. Over all it will help with the healing process and get you back to normal shape faster.

Basics:

For my daily outfits I knew I would want something very comfortable and easy so I just packed two of my favorite leggings, and a few of my favorite long tank tops. Some women get cold in the hospital postpartum, but I was actually always pretty warm last time so I packed tank tops I can layer underneath cardigans and robes. Then I threw in one of my favorite comfy pair of slippers that I do not mind getting dirty, and my What to Expect book. If you are pregnant and you do not have this book I highly recommend getting it! I have used it so much in the last year with Aria and know I will continue to reference it again with my new little girl!

Lounge:

These are hands down the comfiest PJ lounge set I have ever owned in my life and I am so excited to cozy up with my new little bundle of joy in them. The material is buttery soft and the design is trendy and cute. I love how the tee has a front pocket and the bottoms are jogger style and have a tie at the waist! Truly I want 4/5 pairs of these because I know I will wear them like crazy! I go these from Pink Blush Maternity and love this lounge set they have too! Also shown is my Bellafit corset which I plan to put on and wear directly following birth and for months after.

Top Necessities:

These beauties are the two most important items I packed this time around. On the left is a really soft and comfortable nursing top that doesn’t look like a nursing top. I love that it has the babydoll shape and will be very easy to wear and give my healing belly space. On the right is the most beautiful delivery robe ever! Pink Blush Maternity is well known for their delivery robes, and I really missed having one last year. It is SO nice to have something pretty to wear that is different from the regular hospital gowns, and I actually love it so much I plan to have my hospital photo shoot wearing this robe. I have a really adorable going home gown for my new little girl that matches this robe and I think it will make for the most beautiful pictures! I can’t wait for that!

Pink Blush Maternity is by far one of my favorite and most loved places to shop before, during, and after pregnancy. I have done featured posts on Pink Blush several times in the past (some of my favorites are here, here, and here), and know I will continue to rave about them in the future. If I could give one piece of advice to someone, mother to mother, it would be shopping Pink Blush. Their clothing is all quality comfort, and literally everything you could ever need from delivery robes, to everyday fashion, to glamorous maternity shoot gowns! If you or someone you know is expecting or is just looking for stunning fashion I recommend checking out Pink Blush during their Black Friday Sale for up 60% OFF site wide and free U.S. Shipping! Coming Home:

OK! Last but not least here is my coming home outfit! I actually got this sweater last year when I was pregnant with Aria and loved it. Since I will be having this little girl the second week of December I thought this would be the perfect top to wear home with my little cutie! Plus it is warm and comfy and I know that postpartum it will be a little oversized and perfect with leggings and my furry loafers! Comfy to the max and still cute and festive! P.S. These leggings are super ‘hold-you-in’ style and still very comfortable. I picked these specifically because I know I will want the security of a tight legging to wear home.

For baby girl I packed two pairs of pjs (totally dropped a tear remembering Aria in them!), two swaddle sacks (BEST THINGS EVER) two swaddle blankets, hand mitts (necessary), two pairs of socks, one coming home outfit, and one gown for photos. Also I packed extra diapers, spit up rags, and wipes in her diaper bag. I threw in a flower headband because I couldn’t help myself! Oh, I cannot wait to meet this little girl and for Aria to meet her sister! I can’t believe how soon it will be before she is here! I will be posting a full birth story after she is born just like I did for Aria, but if you are a mom and expecting feel free to reach out with questions or for support! Love hearing from you!
