I am so excited for this post!
If you follow me on Instagram you have probably been seeing all of my mommy and me outfit posts lately. They are my favorite because Aria is so much fun at this age and of course matching with her is what I am all about. Especially during the holidays! Now that Aria is almost a year old I have noticed that there are a lot more fashionable options available in her size and even more so I am finding lots of outfits that come in both her and my size! Talk about too much fun! So today I am sharing Where I Shop: Mommy and Me Holiday Outfits!
Truthfully, I now fully understand the fun and joy of dressing up to match your little girl, and the girly-girl in myself has totally been swept away with it. That is why when I came across Up 2 Our Necks in Fabric boutique and their adorable matching mommy and me tees for the holidays, I was immediately hooked! I mean… How cute! There are not any other tees as cute as these, but what I love most about them is that they are really good quality!
What We Are Wearing
We got three pairs of matching tees and I love them all so much! The ‘Merry Christmas‘ design and ‘Bow‘ design are adorable with the black and red gingham! And the ‘Merry & Bright‘ set has a brighter red to it and I love that it is a bit different from the other two.
Aria is 10 months now and she wears the size 12-18 months. I am wearing Adult size large and it fits perfectly over my bump. I would say that a medium probably would have fit me too, but I like that there is a little extra room and because they are 100% cotton I knew that they may shrink a little when washed so I sized up. Also I love that it will be oversized once I am no longer pregnant (just in time for Christmas) and I can front tuck or front tie it!
There are a few things I look for when I shop from Etsy boutiques and specialty shops: 1. Quality. 2. Design Originality. 3. Material. 4. The speed in service and delivery.
So, I have purchased from other shops in the past and been quickly disappointed by the quality. Either the print will fade or fall off after being washed just once, or it arrives crooked or off centered and just plain looks sloppy. I have also experienced graphics wrinkling on me after being steamed. The material is another big thing that I am hesitant about and I am sorry but cheap scratchy material is something I would just rather not have.
