About a month ago I realized that Aria seemed to be hungry ALL the time. It hit me that at almost 9 months old, her eating habits were probably ready for a change. Up until now she had only been eating baby food from the jar and drinking her bottles at nap times and bed times. I was buying out shelf after shelf of baby food at the grocery stores and pureeing food each night to feed to her, and STILL running out so fast!
At her 9 month check up I asker her doctor if we can start trying to give her more solid foods, and with the go ahead I dove into researching some yummy foods that we could try. As a new mom I really did not know what foods I could give to her. I was still nervous of her choking on bits of food, and also worried that the texture would be a turn off for her. But I gave it a try and came up with these 3 snack/meal options that have worked very well for the transition. PLUS she now gets full and stays full much longer! Yay!
