Espadrille wedge sandals were huge last year and they are quickly becoming an even bigger trend this year! And how can they not be? Espadrille wedges are by far one of my favorite trends of all time for several reasons.
1. They look super springy and summery and go with literally any type of outfit. Dresses (long and short), jeans (Skinny and flare), denim shorts, skirts, jumpsuits, rompers…you name it! If you have been following me for a while you know that universal, staple pieces are my go-tos, and I love an item that gets it’s money worth in use!
2. They are very easy to dress up or wear casually! You can seriously style them for a night out or a fancy dinner, by pairing with a flowy floral pattern dress, or a monochromatic jumpsuit styled with silver or gold jewelry, and then you can throw them on with a swimsuit cover up and take them to the beach!
3. They last several seasons which means they will last at least a few years. Espadrilles are classic looking and will be stylish for seasons to come. Although brands bring out new versions each year, the basic style doesn’t change and a classic pair of espadrilles is just that. A classic pair of espadrilles!
The only bummer here is that because it is such a big trend, the price tags are a little ridiculous! You can find the styles you are seeing everywhere, online and in store, but you have to be okay with throwing down a hundo it seems, just to get your hands on ONE pair! Well… I am here to tell you that this is no longer true. You can actually get any of the popular styles of espadrille wedges for considerably less and therefore stock up on more then one pair this year!
