Fall Foliage Inspired Eye Makeup

Fall Foliage Inspired Eye Makeup

Happy Thursday! I am so excited for this post! Last year about this time I shared a makeup look to wear for handing out halloween candy. I had so much fun sharing that look with you all, that I thought I would share a more bold fall eye look with you this year! Fall is all about browns, reds, rose golds, and even oranges, so I created this Fall Foliage Inspired Eye Makeup look to mimic the changing fall leaves you may seeing falling everywhere right now!

I usually am not very daring with my makeup, and am in no way a beauty expert. I am a regular mama that sticks with a pretty basic everyday makeup routine, and closely follows a good youtube tutorial anytime I want to try something new. However from time to time I like to use the skills and tips I have picked up over the years to experiment with something new and fun. Especially during the fall and holiday seasons! This fall eye look is something I have been playing with for weeks and have become comfortable enough with it to share with you all!

I love the warm tones and how I was able to incorporate yellows ands browns without looking like I got punched! Teehee! I used my favorite Morphe eyeshadow palette and I broke down the steps for you below! For what I use as a base for my face and my overall everyday basic makeup routine, you can get all those details HERE!

Time to get Fall Fancy!

For this look I used the Jacklyn Hill Morphe Eyeshadow palette that came out last year. This was and still is a very popular palette because the colors are so pigmented and you can really create a dramatic eye with the colors provided. It basically has every color you could ever need and it is super affordable at only $38!

Silk Creme – I started by simply covering my entire lid with Silk Creme and little up past my crease.
Pooter – Next I took the color Pooter and lined my eye lid crease. I started with just a little bit and slowly added more as needed to make it dark.
Creamsicle – I used creamsicle on the inside corner of my eye and dragged that out onto my lid to about halfway.
Pukey – Pukey (What a name lol!) I used lightly in the center of my lid and I dragged that out to the outsides of my eye. I made sure to shake off any excess before apply since this is such a pigmented color I wanted the application to be very light.
Roxanne – I used Roxanne just as lightly on the outside corners of my eye and dragged a bit into my crease. This finished the “fall leaves” look I was trying to get on my lids.
Beam – I then went in with Beam and brightened up under my brows and let the brush fall on top of any hard lines that may have been created with the darker colors smudging it all in.
Roxanne – I grabbed a bit of Roxanne again and brushed a very light line on my bottom lash line from the outside to about halfway in.
S.B.N. – Finally I took S.B.N. and went over the bottom lash line and brushed a small amount in the corners of my eye and on the center of my eyelid.

And there you have it! I love how the dark and light colors blend so well to make a beautiful warm fall eye! It almost has a reddish/orangey smoky look! So pretty for fall! Using S.B.N. at the end adds a little sparkle that catches the light in just the right places! I love it! — If you recreate this look please let me know, I love hearing from you all!
