July 4th Recap (2018)

Hi You Guys!

I hope you all had a fun Fourth of July weekend! It was such a long weekend wasn’t it? I know a lot of people took off the Thursday and Friday after the 4th to enjoy a nice long weekend. We have been hearing neighbors still celebrating the holiday clear through Sunday!

Anyhoo, I just wanted to pop on here for an extra special little post recapping our 4th of July trip and festivities. We had SO much fun visiting family and just being outdoors enjoying the sun. Bare with me this is A LOT  of photos, but there were so many good ones I couldn’t help myself!

Above is the Tesla we rented to drive around in Minnesota and to get us from the airport and back. Arthur is a huge Tesla fan so this was a fun treat for him! Plus it was a hit all week long, and I will not lie; several other family and friends may have taken it for a spin too! Here is Aria “Drinking and Driving” teehee! This was on the way from the airport to my parents house.

We spent a great deal of time on Sunday (July 1st) with my Dad’s side of the family visiting. We all went to where my Grandma is living and spent the entire afternoon, eating, playing games, and well..passing Aria around!

Aria got lots of attention, and we are paying for it now for sure! 

On Monday we visited with my Mom’s sisters and Aria finally got to meet her great auntie Irma! Irma is well known in the family to be the favorite, and that is for good reason! She has all the treats!

Tuesday morning Arthur and I got to sneak away for a quick little brunch date! It was so nice to take advantage of the help at my parents house to have a little time to ourselves!

Tuesday afternoon my sister and I took Aria to the lake. It was her first lake experience and she was definitely a little confused by the huge body of water! It was so fun!

Gordy’s wife Nina and I and our babies! They just had a little boy, Little Gordy, a few months after Aria was born. He is such a cutie!

On the 4th of July a bunch of us went to the local town’s festivities. They had a festival going on, a stage with live music (that was really good btw!), and later that night there was fireworks over the lake!

At the end of the night, this is Aria’s reaction to the fireworks! We forgot to bring headphones for her so we just covered her ears. But she was so amazed, it was adorable! The finale scared her and she did cry at the end, but all in all she did a great job!

After we got home July 5th, we opened Aria’s gift from her uncle Jon…a Johnny Jump Up! She loved it!

Friday July 6th, Aria starts showing signs of wanting to crawl!

Saturday and Sunday following the 4th Arthur, Aria and I spent the weekend relaxing in and by the pool! Much needed and enjoyed after such an eventful holiday!

And now on to a great new week!
