I have seven siblings. Five brothers and two sisters! That is one big family! It is funny because I never have been able to envision how many children I would have. Have you tried to do that? ‘I am definitely a single child mama, or I can see myself with four kids…’ I have tried, but never saw a clear picture. Now that I have two, I am sure I want more, and I am beginning to think I want several more! I think my husband is unsure of that, but I also think he can be convinced!
Many of you may not even know the details of how Aria and Ella came into the world in the whirlwind way that they did. It is a funny story because after my husband and I got married it took us over a year to actually get pregnant and I remember getting concerned we may have to do more in order to be able to have kids. We were close to taking the next steps and then we found out I was pregnant with Aria. I was thrilled!
I truly believe there comes a point in your life when you can feel like your just ready to have kids and be a parent. Even though you can never really ever be prepared, I definitely felt like something was missing and I was ready for the responsibility. Aria was born and I was a very happy mama, but just four weeks later I got my period, and even though I was breastfeeding I was already menstrating! Long story short at my eight week check up I found out I was pregnant…again!
Getting Pregnant Again
My girls are 11.5 months apart in age and yes it has been challenging, but it has been equally hard on my body! I had no idea I would be of the few percent of women who can get pregnant right after childbirth, and while breastfeeding! Even though I had two back to back, now that we are waiting a few years, my biggest fear is that it may be difficult to get pregnant again like it was the first time…and even worse, that my body may not be able to handle a too many more.
