So a couple weeks ago I shared that I would be working on turning our formal living room into a play area for the girls. You can see before images of the space HERE. It has been about two weeks and I am so excited to announce that today I am revealing the finished product! To be perfectly honest I will more then likely continue to add things here and there, but I am very happy with the transformation of the space at this point, and couldn’t have done it with out Joss & Main’s ease of use website and lightening fast shipping.

In my Inspiration Post I shared the items I had my eye on and wanted to use to transform this space. The one item I knew I was absolutely getting was this toddler sectional sofa. How cute is it, right? It is the perfect size for Aria to crawl up and sit on, big enough to fit all her friends, and the pieces are separate so you can place them however you like. Also the ottoman has cup holders. This is my favorite piece in the entire playroom!

The lamp I got two of and really like the style, the sturdiness, and the fact that there are shelf spaces that I could potentially decorate in the future. The tan and white basket to the left of the couch is another favorite and another piece I got two of. I knew right away they would be perfect for all of the girls toys. These things are HUGE and store so much, it really makes the area look clean and makes for easy clean too! I originally had this rug in mind, but ended up going with a smaller version I found in store at Big Lots.

I had so much fun decorating this space! I wanted to bring in a sort of chic boho vibe and I am not sure if I accomplished that or not, but I am in love with how it looks anyways. The focal point of the fire place is the framed poster that say “And Though She May Be Little, She Is Fierce”, it is SO CUTE! It caught my eye right away and reminded me so much of my girls, so it was a must-have!

The other side of the room is the “kitchen” area. This space is just darling and definitely Aria’s favorite area to play in. In my Inspiration Post I had originally picked out this beautiful wall decal to put up on this wall. Because our budget did not end up allowing for it I decided to go with something a little bit simpler and added these rainbow stickers instead. Any kitchen has to have a table and because this one can double as a crafting area I knew it was a necessary piece to add. It was really easy to put together and is fantastic quality. I love the bright white too!

So there you have it! I hope I have given you some inspiration for your own projects! This are of our home now gets tons of use and the main living room has finally gotten back to a more adult area and less cluttered with toys. I am so happy I am able to give this space to my girls and hope that one day they will be able to look back on great memories of imaginative play here!
