Upstairs Modern Boho Patio Reveal

Upstairs Modern Boho Patio Reveal

After several weeks of searching for all the right pieces, I have finally finished our upstairs master patio. This space has been completely empty and unused since we moved in here and I have been wanting to do something fun with it for a long time. I wanted to go a with a sort of modern bohemian look, and I am really happy with how it turned out! I have been documenting the whole process on Instagram if you follow along, and I am going to do the same with our next big project so be sure to follow along!

The first thing I purchased was this rug. I loved the fun colors, the fact that it is machine washable, and of course the price! I looked for a long time for a rug that would give off a boho vibe, that was large enough for this space for under $100. These pillows I already had and they have been favorites of mine for a really long time. I tried to shop my home as much as I could because my goal was to get a beautiful new patio under a budget. This beautiful bamboo candle holder was 50% off at Target! Did you know the best time to shop anywhere for summer patio furniture and decor is in July?

Ok, so this table was such a fun project. I actually got it at Good Will for under $10! It was brown table and well used. I sanded it down and painted it this bright white and I am so happy with how it turned out! The style is what I was going for and I like how it pulls this boho vibe all together. I topped the table with some easy greenery that I got on sale at Big Lots and Ikea. These chairs we already owned, and I got the cushions from Target 50% off as well. Pillows I already had!

The planter and big leaf plant I got from Target on sale too, along with the green plant hanger. I could not find the exact drooping plant that I wanted for the hanger so I simply purchased some sprigs from Micheal’s and created my own bouquet and put them in a white pot. I think it turned out super cute!

Alright you all, THIS CHAIR! The whole reason my patio took so long to finish is all because of this chair. I originally wanted to have a cute accent chair that I could curl up in to drink my coffee or wine. I looked high and low for a rattan egg chair, because that was my vision! I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars and I was determined to find what I wanted for a fraction of the price. As time went on I got discouraged and started looking at installing a hammock chair instead. Finally, one morning recently a friend of mine sent me a picture of this chair that was being sold nearby from a lady on facebook marketplace. I immediately knew this was the perfect chair for my space and picked it up the next day! I originally was going to paint it white, but I really like how this blue looked and decided to leave it just the way it was.

The umbrella we already had and I simply strung some lights to give it an ambiance in the evenings. I love my patio so much and look forward to many mornings and nights relaxing out here!
