Multiple Outfits with Few Key Pieces

These 5 basic closet staples are things most people probably already have in their closet. A black t-shirt, a white t-shirt, a white tank top, a good pair of denim jeans, and a comfortable pair of shorts. These 5 pieces are ones that I wear over and over again! I love to mix and match what I have to make a bunch of outfits, and with a few accessories here and there it is easy to make these 5 simple pieces look like so much more in an outfit!

I wanted to show how to take simple items like these and make them into multiple outfits. It is not like you have to spend a bunch of money on a new wardrobe every season, when you can buy a few simple pieces and mix them up to get several looks out of them! These tees, tank, shorts, and jeans I have found to be solid quality staples that will last me a long time so I linked them each for you below in case your looking for some new basics!

Look 1

This black t-shirt is hands down my favorite t-shirt of all time. It is the perfect thickness for layering, it fits a little loose so it is great for being universal with a front tie or a tuck. ( Front tying or tucking in my t-shirt can completely change an entire look! ) I paired the shirt with my favorite non-denim shorts (seriously the most comfortable shorts ever. I am almost through my 1st trimester with my second baby, and roomy comfy shorts are SO important to me right now. Also love these because they do not ride up or get stuck between the thighs when walking!!) for a perfect casual look! These shorts also come in 3 colors and I am pretty sure I need all three! I threw on these espadrille platform sandals (these are dupes of the Marc Fisher version and SO comfortable..) to elevate the look!

Look 2

Ok so this white button front tank is seriously like pajamas! It is loose fitting, and the button details gives it a little something extra! I love that it has a wide swing hem that is easy to tuck in, or if you unbutton the button buttons you can tie it too! Love this tank with these jeans. I have had these jeans for several years now and I never get sick of them. The amount of distress on them is so cute, and the jeans themselves are real quality. The fade and shape has held up like brand new even after dozens of times being washed!

Look 3

Here I paired the same black t-shirt with the same denim jeans. It looks completely different together like this, and this is one of my most favorite looks this spring. I slid on these adorable bow sandals that I got for under $23 , and I am ready to go!

Look 4

Ok. This white t-shirt is the softest material! I love it! It has wide openings on the sleeves for a relaxed fit, and it runs large for a loose shape that I absolutely love. Again I love to front tie or tuck this t-shirt. Versatility you guys! It is cute hanging free as well! With these shorts again is makes a cute but comfy casual look!

Look 5

Finally here is the same white t-shirt with the jeans again. I love this look with the bow sandals but it is just as cute with the platforms sandals too! I threw on this hat to give it a little bit of a trendy look! Love using accessories to dress up a casual look! It is amazing what one little thing can do to change an entire outfit!
